The group was founded by MrEF and RockAlfredo12 in 2022, and later declared itself as a revival of The Soviets under Peter_Rod, and was officially declared a revival when Valitov (founder of The Soviets) returned to 2b2t. The Communist Party is the only fully democratic group on the server practicing '''"Democratic Centralism"'''. The Communist Party of 2b2t is one of the only groups, if not the only one, to come up with a system for elected leadership and responsiblities for each rank, creating one of the only government-based groups on the server.    

The group combines in-real-life leftist politics and theory with 2b2t and seeks to "Advance The Leftist Struggle" by conducting activities and operations "In The Name of Communism" on the server. Leadership in the Communist Party was based on contribution and responisbility, as opposed to controlling the group for personal influence like other groups. Each 'secretary' on the Central Committee, the main leadership body in the Communist Party, was responsible for overseeing the associated category of operations of the Communist Party, along with managing and overseeing their respective commissions. For example the "Contruction Secretary' would be responsible for overseeing all building that the group does on 2b2t, while the "Secretary of defense" would be responsible for overseeing all PVP and griefing the group may perform.   

The Communist Party covers all aspects of 2b2t (Building, PVP, Griefing, etc.), but the group mainly focuses on redstone farming, public events, and building, and they are famous for 'larp', responsibility-based leadership system, structured governance and authority, and fighting amongst themselves. The group is also well known for collapsing, rebuilding, and radically changing on multiple occasions.     

= History =

=== Founding ===
The Communist Party started in December 2022 when in-real-life Communist RockAlfredo12 and non in-real-life Communist MrEF came together to create a new communist-themed group with the intention of saving newfags at spawn. The group soon gained the attention of Peter_Rod, a notable Communist on the server, and was than recruited to the group. Peter_Rod discussed with RockAlfredo how he intended to eventually revive an older group of the same name and expressed that Alfredo's and MrEF's group could become the revival if they allowed it; the proposal was temporarily brushed aside. 

Upon joining, Peter_Rod heavily criticized the group for not functioning effectively and in a fashion typical for 2b2t groups; the group focused more on saving newfags at spawn than being an actual communist group and ranks only existed as an ineffective points system where members will get greater access for the amount of newfags they "saved". Peter_Rod then proceeded to propose to the leadership a long list of reforms as well as a draft of a constitution for the group; the proposals were accepted by Alfredo, but were rejected by MrEF. Out of frustration Peter_Rod left the group and chose to ignore it. 

Peter_Rod would shortly come into contact with the group again in Feburary 2023 when they ran into trouble with [[The Collective]], which was a group Peter_Rod was a high rank in. Collective base Alphatown II was leaked to the communist party; once Peter_Rod found out about this, the Communist Party was stormed by Peter_Rod together with other collective members. MrEF than nuked the discord against Alfredo's wishes. 

Alfredo talked with members of The Collective, and Shaymx would create a new discord server for Alfredo and the group. Peter_Rod would than ask Shaymx and Alfredo if he can help lead the group, Shaymx and Alfredo accepted. Peter_Rod while working together with Shaymx and Alfredo, immediately got to work building the discord over the next week, and Peter_Rod implemented all his proposals with no resistance. Peter_Rod modeled the group after The Collective to start, and proceeded to recruit his friends from the collective, giving them all high ranks in the group; this led to the group being considered a "Collective Sub-group" for the first month of operation.  

With communications ready, the group started operation by holding their first event: a grand opening ceremony for The Party. During this event, Peter_Rod declared The Communist Party a revival of The Soviets, and that the group would work to track down the original members and leadership of the group so that The Communist Party may become a true revival. The event was crashed by TheOnlySlash, a member of the party, who proceeded to crystal all attendants of the event. TheOnlySlash was than nominated to lead PVP in the group due to his impressive PVP skills.  

The group proceeded to have another event to find a location for a main base: The Communist Party would create their first base in the millions, the base would later be named AlfredoGrad, after the founder RockAlfredo12. A few days later Peter_Rod would travel to the hundred-thousands to create the first Communist Party recruit base; the base would be called "PorozhdaGrad", which translates to "Spawn City" in English from Russian.  

Under Peter_Rod's leadership, The Communist Party would become an actual 2b2t group and somewhat well respected, and would continue to grow exponentially.   

=== Revival and Valitov's return ===
After months of searching, Peter_Rod finally made contact with Valitov, the original founder of the Communist Party of 2b2t from 2017. He was invited to come back to the group and 2b2t, and he was given the "General Secretary" position in the group, making him the leader of both the original and revival group, effectivly merging both and making the Communist Party of 2b2t an officially recognized revival and continuation of the original group.

=== Involvement with The 2b2t Union Strike (1.19 update) ===
During this time 2b2t was undergoing an update from 1.12 to 1.19, which involved the artificial deletion of items and loaded chunks, which prompted Peter_Rod (Leader of The Communist Party) and Save_G (Founder of the HWU) to create the [[2b2t Union]] to unite the players of 2b2t in an attempt to get [[Hausemaster]] to revert the changes. The Union managed to push many to refund their priority queue, and not soon after this the changes were reverted; Peter_Rod and other party leaders, such as Save_G, were heavily involved, and the union was ultimately a success. 

=== Azerbaijan Incident (Discord Server nuking and base griefs) ===
Shortly after the success of the Union and Rollback of the 2b2t Server, the [[Fifth Column]] would pressure Peter_Rod and the party to renounce support for the union, which caused division amongst the leadership of the party. Peter_Rod declared that the group would not be influenced by any outside powers. This prompted Artex, a member of leadership of the party, to betray the group in favor of the Fifth Column by partially nuking the Communist Party discord server. A little later, another leader of the group, Imperative, would betray the group in the same way by taking advantage of a flaw in role permissions; Imperative than completely nuked the server with the Fifth Column, which also lead to almost all Communist Party bases to be griefed; It would take The Communist Party many months to recover. Discord administration was reformed with the establishment of a system known as the "Security Council." This incident is known as "The Azerbaijan Incident" in The Communist Party, due to the strong Turkic and Azerbaijani nationalism of the perpetrators.

=== The Great Reform ===
The party was not always as democratic as it claims to be today, as the party followed a hierarchical system where choices were centralised at the leadership only, and this system relied on the leadership to employ the will of the members while running the group. It was not until mid-2023 did the first democratic reforms be put in place with elections for the main leadership positions, including the General Secretary (Leader) and the Chairman (Co-Leader). Soon after, further reforms would be suggested by Tensive_, which reorganised the leadership roles and tasked the Central Committee with leading certain commissions on the party, e.g., the Construcion commission; these reforms would mean that the Central Committee and the Politburo must be elected by Party members holding the leadership democratically accountable.

=== Valitov steps down ===
In July 2024, Valitov stepped down as General Secretary after one year of returning to 2b2t and seven years of leadership in the group, and Peter_Rod stepped down as Chairman, meaning Tensive_ was elected as the new General Secretary alongside CommunistBannana, who was elected Chairman. === Collapse and disbandment ===
During August 2024, the leadership body in the communist party the "central committee" collapsed due to issues and infighting involving the handeling of the removal of Nate_Orion aka Pyrobyte from leadership and the group. All central committee members either left or quit 2b2t, and Peter_Rod, the last remaining leader of the Communist Party, eventually declared the group dormant until further notice. In October, Peter_Rod would announce that he quit from 2b2t and that he is willing to give leadership of the group on 2b2t to anyone willing to do the work. During December 2024, a grouping of members who split from the Communist Party were offfered permission by Peter_Rod to lead the Communist Party and were given permission to use the name on 2b2t. Although badly damaged, the group recovered slightly and was somewhat active during this time. During May 2025, Peter_Rod, being increasingly frustrated with who he gave permission to lead the Communist Party to, attempted to revoke their leadership status and bring back the original leadership from before the collapse, and resume operations from there. This proposal was rejected by the leadership of the group, prompting Peter_Rod to use whatever powers and influence he had left to force the change, which was ultimatley unsuccessful; the leadership that was given in December was not replaced, but rather the leadership created a different Communist Party and voted for Peter_Rod to be removed, prompting Peter_Rod to disband the Communist Party on the pretext that nobody can be trusted to lead it until he comes back to 2b2t.

The party has a democratic system of leadership following the Leninist idea of '''"Democratic Centralism"'''  and mostly elects leaders at congress but can call general elections if required.

=== Congress ===
Congress is the central governing body of the party. Congress consists of party delegates and leadership candidates who are nominated by party members, who go to vote on key issues and motions suggested by the party. These delegates will also select a leader; the leadership selected will then be approved by party members. Congress is held in-game on 2b2t for trusted delegates and on discord for non-trusted delegates, which is decided by the leadership. Visitors from other friendly groups may also appear alongside guests who are friends of the party at the discretion of the leadership (these people do not have voting powers). Congress is held roughly every 6 months, but this can be shortened or extended depending on current circumstances.

=== Emergency Voting ===
If needed, a snap election can be called. This is usually if a major leader, such as the General Secretary, has stepped down. In this system, members nominate candidates to be placed on the leadership ballot. Candidates who are nominated will have a meeting to discuss who will and who will not be running for the politburo. Once decided, the leadership ballot will be released to all members to vote on. This system is not used as the main system due to many systematic errors that arise and the often confusing nature that occurs, leading to disagreements on how the system should work.

The politburo is the most powerful body of leadership in the party, it always consists of the General Secretary and the Chairman. The politburo holds the most important leadership positions integral to the party. The politburo is democratically elected.

==== Central Committee ====
The central committee is the main body of leadership for the party, deciding the direction of the party and deciding on motions between congress. The central committee leads various commissions in the party. The central committee is democratically elected.

==== Executive Committee ====
The executive committee is considered a part of the leadership, however the executive committee does not take on specific roles unlike the central committee. The executive committee assist with leadership discussion and assist the commissions in their work. The executive committee are considered to be dedicated members of the group. The executive committee is either appointed by the General Secretary or elected.

==== Officer ====
Officers are trusted members of the party, often engaging with commissions and important work within the party. Officers are appointed.

==== Member ====
Members are the backbone of the party, they make up the majority of the party and participate in elections. Members mainly help out with project and bases. Members are appointed based on tasks completed as a candidate.

==== Candidate ====
Candidates are not yet full members of the party but can engage in industry (farms) and low-security bases. Candidates are required to do a set of tasks to show that they can become a full-member of the party.
