Template:WdlTemplate:BaseTemplateThe Spawn Migration (aka Migration Base) was a Spawnmasons community spawnbase in late 2022 with the abstract theme of a so-called 'migration'.

History

Foundation

The Spawn migration was founded by Joey_Coconut on October 20, 2022 as the location for a Spawnmasons meeting on November 5, 2022 following the grief of Sky Masons. It started with Joey_Coconut's 'Walking_Library', named after a former Spawnmason. Joey_Coconut and Negative_Entropy were at the base alone until a few days before the first Spawnmasons meeting there. The initial wave of base members had to solve one of Negative_Entropy's Coordinate Quest scavanger hunts to get to the base, which meant that it was not straightforward to travel to. After a week of this, the base was opened up to all Spawnmasons on November 5, 2022. By the time of the meeting, Breithan built SnellyJR, Negative_Entropy built Mûmakil, cpybara built his chicken coop, YoMoBoYo and _chiekn_ built a walking observatory, DarkXL6 built a rolling build, and P529 built his ship collaboration with several others. A number of builds from Sky Masons were also rebuilt with legs to suggest they had migrated away from there.

Theme

The inspiration for the base's theme came the username of a former Spawnmason's account named Walking_Library , as well a build by cpybara at Hurtbase, and a meme of a walking Minecraft house with the caption 'aight, imma head out'. The central concept of the base was that all builds should be 'migrating'. This meant all builds had to be able to 'move' be it with legs or wheels, or by being carried or by flying.

Expansion

After the Spawnmason meeting there, more friends of the base members were invited to the base. These builders largely came from Astral Brotherhood, Ancients, and Spawn Builders Association, and resulted in the base quickly expanding. A second Spawnmasons meeting was held at the base on November 12, at Joey_Coconut's and bread_loaf's 'Mothgolian Yurtwagon'. All building materials were stolen from the storage area a few days after the second Spawnmasons meeting, but that only temporarily slowed the base's construction, with Lunch_Katsu's ATAT, Universin's Metal Gear EXCELSUS, Joey_Coconut's Double King, SilverEyes2b2t's Gumball machine, and xrayessay's sign board being built in that week.<ref>Joey_Coconut's reddit post on the Double King build</ref> EnigmA_008 also constructed 2 Music Machines at the base - 1 in the Walking_Library, and 1 in the Signboard. A third Spawnmasons meeting was held near the base on November 19th, in xrayessay's 'Flying Spaghetti Monster'.

Grief

On November 21, TheAtomicPunk leaked the base to HornyCatGirl after a failed invitation vote for him. After HornyCatgirl appeared at the base, the members decided to finish as many builds as quickly as possible, such as Breithan's No Face and Rolling Rabbit. A final wave of members including Osmobyte, Phyxics, Banana_on_2b2t, and postto were also invited. Late on November 22, the members were tipped off that HornyCatGirl had purchased several shulkers of TNT from a shop and had asked to have them delivered directly to the base. The online members built many small builds, finished Breithan's No face build, and helped RICELAND1 with his tree until they ran out of materials. Afterward, they broke all beds at the base and killed HornyCatGirl back to Spawn. Early morning on November 23, a group consisting of Breithan, Hovecs, Joey_Coconut, Osmobyte, rrdrock, VBence1, and YoMoBoYo self-griefed the base.
