The Boedecken

Template:Wdl Template:BaseTemplate The Boedecken was a base founded by CainesLaw in 2016 after the self-grief of Aureus City. The base lasted almost two years until it was griefed by Beardler, which (along with his grief of Block Game Mecca) served as the cause of the BoeMeccan Witch Trials.

History

Origins

When CainesLaw's second base, Aureus City, was destroyed in 2016 during the Rusher War, CainesLaw founded The Boedecken along with Tachrev. CainesLaw and Tachrev invited the members of Aureus and others. The base started and continued to expand and remained secure for just short of the next two years.<ref>Legato's video of the construction of The Boedecken</ref>

Griefing

In May 2018, Beardler leaked and griefed the base over frustration over unrelated events.<ref>Beardler explaining the grief of Boedecken, the Boemeccan witch trials, etc. from his perspective</ref> The griefing of the base was initially blamed on jared2013 31days31griefs/Month of Destruction.

Subsequent Incidents

After the bases' grief alongside that of Block Game Mecca, the so-called BoeMeccan Witch Trials occurred which resulted in a mass erosion of trust concerning The Museum which helped to later cause its closure.
